Facets Player of the Night: James Harden

Fear the Beard. That beard belongs to James Harden who exploded for 44 points, 7 assists, 5 steals and 3 rebounds in a big win versus Portland. He’s our player of the night.

His third 40 point game this December leads the league, as it was his 11th with at least 30 points as well. Doing the simple math, James accounted for a minimum of 58 points between just scoring and dishing the ball.

He shot the ball very well going 14-26 from the floor and going 12-13 from the free throw line, the attempts from the line have become customary. He only turned the ball over once during the 32 minutes he played.

Facets Player of the Night: Damian Lillard

December 19th, 2014

This was an easy one. 43 points, a career high, 6 assists and 3 rebounds later, Damian Lillard is our player of the night. He did it all and scored wherever he wanted on the floor. 19 of his points came from the 3-point or free-throw line as he hit 4 three’s and 7 of 8 free-throw attempts.

16 of his points came during the three overtimes. Dame was the prime reason Portland came out with a victory against San Antonio on Friday night. He was responsible for 55 of Portland’s points in his masterful performance. I think it’s time we start considering Dame a top 5 point guard in the NBA, like the picture above suggests.
